About This Spot

Stepping into Fajitas on Rue Dauphine feels like discovering a quiet, unassuming retreat from the bustling streets of Paris. Tucked in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, this Mexican spot carries a relaxed, intimate vibe where the pace slows enough to savor both the food and the company. It’s the kind of place where familiarity grows quickly — from the warm greetings at the door to the steady rhythm of conversations unfolding over shared plates.

The atmosphere gently balances between casual ease and thoughtful care. Natural light filters in during the day, brightening a space that feels lived-in and welcoming rather than meticulously styled. It’s a neighborhood gem where families, friends, and even solo diners feel equally at home. While the restaurant sometimes lulls in quiet moments, those who come here for a meal find something quietly genuine in the experience that often surprises and delights.

At Fajitas, the food becomes a shared language of comfort and occasional discovery. The menu invites diners to explore familiar Mexican flavors with a fresh Parisian touch — think vibrant, fresh salsas alongside a well-mixed cocktail or a frozen margarita that cools and enlivens the afternoon. Plates arrive with generous portions that encourage tasting a little of everything, from hearty fajitas to tacos with lively fillings and those simple but essential tortilla chips and salsa that spark the appetite for what’s to come.

The service here is one of those quietly memorable elements. Approachable and thoughtful, the team’s attention helps the meal feel less like a transaction and more like an invitation to linger, ask questions, and share stories about the dishes. It’s a spot where kids can delight in the bold flavors just as much as adults, making it well-suited to relaxed family lunches or casual dinners with friends.

Though it may not shout from the rooftops, Fajitas offers a gentle kind of warmth — a place to pause between sightseeing and the pace of the city, to reconnect over food that is honest and sincere, served with genuine kindness. Whether you come for a midweek meal or a quieter evening option near Notre Dame, it feels like a little authentic corner of Mexico nestled in the heart of Paris.

The location is good, close to Notre Dame. The atmosphere is good too. People are very nice. The food is good too but I had better Mexican options in Paris. The starters were nice however the main dish Burrito it was disappointing to me. It was more of a deconstructed burrito, I prefer a more original version of it and also it was dry inside, specifically the meat. Overall good.

We stopped by this Mexican restaurant in Paris — it looked empty, we were the only customers, but we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did! The host was super kind, the food came out really fast, and everything was fresh and delicious. We literally finished every bite and didn’t even have time to take photos because it was that good! We ordered a burrito, ceviche, quesadilla, nachos, a piña colada, and a lager beer. The burrito was huge and came with rice and salad, and all the portions were generous. Everything was tasty, great Latin music in the background, and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend if you love Mexican food! ????????

Phenomenal and delicious. Super fast service and an amazing host. Great for kids, we went with our family and kids simply devoured everything. Love it and highly recommend for lunch time with kids!

I’m a big fan of Mexican food and this is one of the best Mexican places in Paris! The food is authentic and delicious, the portions are generous and there’s quite a variety of plates to try. Ive been there twice for dinner, the week evenings are better cause it’s easier to find a table, if you don’t have a reservation (the weekend is busier). The staff people are super nice and welcoming. The music, the ambiance and decor are on point to make you feel in Latin America! I’m definitely coming back and totally recommend!

Ordered the chilanga and taquiza. The food was tasty, the portions were not satisfactory. However, we really enjoyed our lunch, especially the spinach and cheese rolls

Very warm and inviting service for my family and I. Provided service in English without any issues or attitude whatsoever. We felt very welcome there. The virgin Pina Colada was *delicious* - I could have downed two or three, but mostly because it was too small! A larger size and I would have definitely recommended it. No complaints about the sizes of the dishes however. Everything served was a very ample size, and very tasty to boot. We would certainly come back!

Amazing! I just wanted something small to take away, and it turned out to be super tasty. Tip: definitely ask for the spicy salsa, it makes it even better. And another tip: try the tequila rapido you won’t regret it.

The service was very inviting and friendly. The establishment was clean and warm. The drinks were all made and delicious. The food was tasty and flavorful and the serving sizes were filling. Price was appropriate for the quality of food. I would definitely recommend this place!!
